Life is about caring for others. Ji-Eon, who had always lived for the sake of her poor neighbors, mother, and aunt, meets Ui-Ju’s older brother, Ui-Tae, at the funeral of her only neighborhood friend, Ui-Ju, during the winter before her senior year of high school.
“You are Yang Ji-Eon, aren’t you?”
Although she is afraid of him, who can’t even use chopsticks properly and has an unclear occupation, he keeps catching her eye, so she ends up bringing him side dishes and even tutoring him. He is the most pitiful man she has ever met. Ji-Eon’s feelings, which began with pity, gradually start to expand into other emotions.
“I like you.”
“Ji-Eon, this is the first time I’ve heard someone say they like me.”
Life is simply about living. Ui-Tae, who had considered himself alone in the world, begins to harbor a desire for the first time after meeting Ji-Eon. That he can be with her for the rest of his life. That this very moment may last forever.
